Did you know we have four seats on our school board up for election in the upcoming cycle? Serving on the school board is a wonderful opportunity to make a significant impact on our schools and community. Dear Families, Due to the predicted dangerous below-freezing forecast for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16, 2024, we will have another e-Learning day for all students. All D91 buildings will be closed tomorrow. There will be no in-person classes tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Students will participate in learning activities from home. Veterans Day pays tribute to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our nation with unwavering courage and dedication. To our students and staff who have family members or friends in the military, know that your sacrifices and support are appreciated too.

November is Native American Heritage Month! We are proud to honor and celebrate the rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and contributions of Native American communities. We'd like to start by acknowledging the importance of the land we stand on the traditional lands of the Peoria, Potawatomi, Myaamia, Sioux, and Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo) People, and pay our respect to elders both past and present. This land acknowledgment reminds us of the deep-rooted connections that Native American communities have with the land we call home. It is a humble recognition of the historical and ongoing contributions of indigenous peoples. Throughout November and beyond, take time to learn about and appreciate the incredible heritage of Native Americans.
